Is the D-Link DIR-X4860 router still supported?
Status summary
Dead
No. It no longer gets updates or service.
D-Link lists every hardware revision and firmware version of the DIR-X4860 (sold outside the US and Canada) as end of life since 24 Dec 2024: no more firmware or security updates. In Oct 2026 D-Link published an unauthenticated remote stack buffer overflow in its web server that will not be fixed, so D-Link says to retire and replace it.
