How we check

DeadOrSupported tracks when gadgets lose software updates or cloud service.

  • Every status comes from the manufacturer's own pages or reputable press, linked on each device page.
  • The site is rebuilt every day, so statuses based on an end date change on time. The "last checked" date is the date the device data was last updated.
  • If we could not confirm an exact date from a primary or press source, the device page says so.
  • Affiliate links and sales of our own checklist never affect a device's status, dates or sources. Read our disclosure.
  • Found a mistake, or a device we are missing? Send us a tip with a source.

What the statuses mean

Supported
It still gets updates or service.
Ending soon
It still gets updates, but support ends soon, usually within 12 months.
Guarantee expired
Its guaranteed update period has ended. Updates may stop at any time.
Dead
It no longer gets updates or service.
